Jurassic World Evolution 2 multiplayer

Jurassic World Evolution 2 will be ‘mainly’ single-player

With the new Jurassic World game revealed at Summer Game Fest at last, fans are already wondering if there will be any Jurassic World Evolution 2 multiplayer or any sort of online functionality. The first game didn’t have any and was purely single-player only, but could there be at least a Jurassic World Evolution 2 co-op mode? While a tweet from the developers makes it seem unlikely, they don’t rule out some form of JWE2 online functionality.

Will there be Jurassic World Evolution 2 multiplayer or co-op?

Unfortunately for co-op hopefuls, Jurassic World Evolution 2 will apparently once again be single-player, but a tweet from the game’s official Twitter account seems to suggest that there will be some form of online mode at least.

The reveal of Jurassic World Evolution 2 at Summer Game Fest yesterday has fans rushing to the developers to ask questions, with one of the most popular questions being if the game will have any sort of multiplayer, online, or co-op mode. This was missing in the first game, so a sequel seems like the ideal place to include something like that. Unfortunately, the developers have seemingly confirmed that JWE2 will be just single-player again, but there may be some online as they say the game will be “mainly be a single-player experience.”

Unless the account is being sneaky, which they admittedly have a habit of doing, Jurassic World Evolution 2 probably won’t have a full multiplayer or co-op mode. However, it does seem possible that the game will have an online mode similar to Frontier’s last management game Planet Zoo, where animals and customized structures can be traded with other players.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 will release later this year and was revealed yesterday at Summer Game Fest, and if JWE2 isn’t enough management strategy for you, Two Point Hospital follow-up Two Point Campus was officially revealed too. Also at the event, From Software’s Elden Ring finally got some gameplay and Hideo Kojima announced that a Death Stranding Director’s Cut is on the way.
