Jump Force mods

Jump Force mods add Leon Kennedy and other characters to the game

Jump Force mods are a thing, apparently—and one of them adds Resident Evil 2’s Leon Kennedy to the game. It’s no surprise that industrious PC gamers have taken to tinkering with the game’s files, but what is surprising is how fast they’ve managed to turn things around and start producing custom content. One of the highlights is the addition of Leon Kennedy to the game. He brings an absolutely awesome arsenal to bear, blowing up classic anime characters with firearms and explosive ordnance.

What makes this particularly interesting is that this is an appropriately-designed character. This isn’t just a simple reskin or anything like that; Leon Kennedy features a full set of moves that fit the theme of his playstyle and that of the Resident Evil games. In effect, Leon Kennedy is truly a brand-new character, although this version is unfortunately lacking in terms of any kind of facial animations.

Of course, Leon Kennedy isn’t the only new addition with these Jump Force mods. Various other characters can be added to the game like virtual YouTuber Kizuna Ai. A number of variants of existing characters like Trunks, Vegeta, and the like are also available for players who are looking to add a little variety to their game without bringing new characters into the mix. (Personally, I’m waiting for the Battletoads to enter the fray.)

Unfortunately, these Jump Force mods are only available to players on the PC version of the game—at least until someone figures out how to mess around with the console versions. (After all, the Super Smash Bros. modding scene was pretty robust back in the GameCube and Wii days.) If you’d like to check out some of these for yourself, you can grab a bunch of neat new characters and cosmetic items at Jump Force Mods and GameBanana. You can see Leon Kennedy in action for yourself below.
