FF7 Rebirth Kalm Return Final Fantasy 7 When Shinra Lockdown Ends Chapter 2 Unlock

FF7 Rebirth Kalm Return: When Does Shrina Lockdown End in Chapter 2?

When the FF7 Rebirth Kalm return happens is something new players are looking for. In Chapter 2 of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, the party is forced to leave Kalm due to a Shinra lockdown as the company tries to chase Avalanche down. That said, the cutscene where this happens can happen suddenly and stop you from continuing your exploration of Kalm. Some side tasks, particularly finding all of the Queen’s Blood players in the town, can’t be finished until the lockdown is lifted. But there’s no indication by the game about when this happens. Here’s when you can return to Kalm in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth on PS5.

When can you return to FF7 Rebirth Kalm in Chapter 2?

You can return to Kalm in Final Fantasy 7 after you complete the objectives at Bill’s Chocobo Ranch that’s part of the main story later in the game.

This is important because it’s easy to head into the semi-open world of the Grasslands region, completing tasks on foot. If you’re a completionist, you may decide to explore the area and finish all of the world intel missions, like fiend battles, caches, chocobo stops, and remnawave towers.

But we recommend going straight through the story first and gain access to Bill’s Chocobo Ranch. It will take about an hour to get through it, but you will be able to ride a chocobo then. This makes grabbing resources easier and gets you from one place to another faster.

At the end of this section of the story, you will be notified that Shinra troopers have finally left Kalm so that you can return to the town and complete any unfinished tasks. At the same time, more than several side quests will become available in Kalm too, so you will want to go back there anyway.
