Octopath Traveler 2 Game Length

Octopath Traveler 2 Game Length: How Long Will It Take to Beat?

How long it takes to beat Octopath Traveler 2 has been a question that fans have rightfully been asking. Since the game is a JRPG, it’s fair to assume that it will take quite a lot of time to finish, but some wonder how its game length compares to that of the first game. So far, we’ve had speculative answers on the Octopath Traveler 2 game length, but a producer of the game has finally given an official answer.

How long is Octopath Traveler 2?

An average playthrough of Octopath Traveler 2 will take 70 hours while a full playthrough of the game will take over 100 hours. This is according to Masashi Takashi, a producer of the game, as confirmed in Famitsu magazine (via Stealth on Twitter).

This puts the game at about 10 hours longer than the first game. Like its predecessor, Octopath Traveler 2 will feature eight characters with eight distinct storylines: Agnea, Castti, Hikari, Ochette, Osvald, Partitio, Temenos, and Throne. Every path will feature at least four chapters, so there’s plenty of content to get through. Beyond that, it’s very possible that there will be an optional epilogue that will have the eight characters face off against an epic final boss.
