King of the Hill reboot release date cast rumors sequel

King of the Hill Reboot: Release Date Rumors, Is it a Sequel, Voice Actors, News, and More

There’s a sequel to King of the Hill in the works, and fans are wondering how it’ll play out. As is the case with many syndicated animated shows, the Hills were largely frozen in time. The world has changed a lot since the series went off the air in 2010, so the series can’t pick up where it left off. We’ll look at release date rumors about the King of the Hill reboot and whether it’ll be a sequel or if there’ll be a time jump.

King of the Hill sequel series release date

King of the Hill Reboot sequel release date cast

According to Collider revival of King of the Hill has been in the works for a few years. Series co-creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels have opened up an animation studio, Bandera Entertainment. This studio will work on the King of the Hill reboot and a new Beavis and Butthead series. However, there is no King of the Hill reboot series release date as of writing.

Is it a reboot or a sequel?

So, far we know that it will actually be a sequel series despite being called a King of the Hill reboot. Daniels stated that it’ll take place 15 years after the series finale, and characters will be aged up. This would put Hank at 63, Peggy at 64, Bobby at 28, and Luanne at 36. In addition, both Cotton’s son and Luanne’s daughter, who were babies when the series ended, will have entered high school.

Other than the time skip, we don’t have any information on what the show will entail. Unfortunately, the show hasn’t even entered pre-production yet, so it’ll likely be a few years before we hear more about it.

Will the voice actors return?

No actors have been attached to the project yet. Mike Judge would obviously be available to voice Hank Hill. Many others who voiced characters in the original run are still in the business. However, Brittany Murphy, the voice of Luanne, passed away shortly after the airing of the final season. We’ll have to wait and see whether they’ll recast or write that character off.
