Black Ops Cold War weapon progress lost fix

The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War weapon progress lost bug is an annoying one, for sure. Players around the world have been losing weapon XP progression and complaining of missing camo challenges and rewards. Fortunately, there is a Black Ops Cold War camo progress lost fix that should work. Here is what to do when the camo challenge and weapon progress goes missing.

How to fix Black Ops Cold War lost weapon progression bug

Black Ops Cold War weapon progress lost

Earning weapon XP to unlock new camos in Black Ops Cold War should work fine, but, for some players, camo challenge and weapon progress is going missing. Even if players are earning longshot kills as instructed. Thankfully, there is a quick workaround that should make weapon progress and camo challenge progress reappear.

To fix the Black Ops Cold War weapon progress lost error, simply reboot the game and try looking for it again. If this doesn’t work, the development team is aware of the issue and is working to fix it via an update.

Those players unlucky enough to not see their weapon and challenge progress will be glad to hear, too, that the progress is not lost. It is a visual error. This has been confirmed by Activision. When a player cannot see their weapon and/or challenge progress, completing challenges as normal should still work. It is a visual bug and it doesn’t stop progress towards unlocking new attachments and camos.

Hopefully, the development team can implement a fix for the missing Black Ops Cold War camo challenge progress and weapon progress sooner rather than later. While it’s good to know that it is a visual bug and nothing more, being able to see the progress on each weapon would be preferable.
