The Assassin’s Creed Valhalla stuck on loading screen error is an annoying bug, to say the least. While not everyone appears to be suffering from it, there are many complaints about the infinite loading glitch. Here’s the lowdown on how to fix the infinite loading bug in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

How to fix the stuck on loading screen error in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

Players are reporting online that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is stuck on its loading screen following the opening cutscene featuring the Seer. For some players, though, the infinite loading bug appears to happen when given the choice between masculine and feminine Viking on the Memory-Stream menu. Look here to know which Eivor to pick when asked. Either way, the game has crashed. Fortunately, though, there appears to be a number of fixes for the bug.

Infinite loading screen fix on PC

  • Exit the game and reload.
  • Restart the PC and try again.
  • Download and install new graphics driver updates.
  • Head into Game Settings.
    • Set V-Sync and Anti-Aliasing to “Adaptive.”
    • Set the game as “Fullscreen.”
    • Turn Alternative Hold off.
  • Start the game and minimize it.
    1. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del.
    2. Wait for CPU load to reduce from 100% down to as low as it goes.
    3. Go back into the game.

The best bet for a fix is likely to be the minimize via Ctrl+Alt+Del and wait for the CPU load to go down from 100% to something more manageable. This is a quick fix that has been noted to work by early adopters of Valhalla. If this or none of the other above fixes work, though, Ubisoft should hopefully fix the bug via a patch. The sooner an Assassin’s Creed Valhalla stuck on loading screen fix comes from an update, the better.
