How to access Nioh 2 DLC | Where is Tengu’s Disciple?

Figuring how to access the Nioh 2 DLC might take some work, which is fitting for such a difficult game. The new Tengu’s Disciple DLC is the first expansion in the game and takes players to a new area of the game. Here’s how to get to that new area and slay some Yokai.

The Tengu’s Disciple DLC only requires that you download at least the 1.11 update. Now that you’ve done that, load into your save in the game to find The Tengu’s Disciple. Once you do that, you should see a pop-up that says “A new region is now availabe. You can access it from the country map.” Confirm that message and then press Square to bring up the map. If you get no pop-ups, you may have to progress further in the game.

Once you do, you’ll see the list of areas and the final one will be The Tengu’s Disciple. Go over to that bottom option and press X to confirm.

From there, you’ll see the first mission in the DLC called A Song to Calm the Storm. You’ll notice that it has a level of 120, which is the level the game is balanced around. You can jump in earlier, but know that it will be a little harder. You have to have beaten the main campaign to play the DLC so you should be relatively prepared for the challenge even if you’re not quite at level 120. If you’re too underleveled, go back and grind some earlier levels to get up to speed.

The process will likely be similar for the game’s other two expansions. We don’t know exactly when those are coming out (but Team Ninja did give some vague date), but at least we know the Japanese titles.
