Ok ok its been done a thousand times before, right? Battlefield shooter with long loading times and exact same gameplay.
But this game I considered to be one of the best games of the year, it was quite similar to Battlefield 2 but had much more vehicular action. It combined fast paced action with always keeping you on your heels at watch for enemy snipers. The walkers provided an element of gameplay that I have never seen before, including the ability to destroy aircraft and land-faring vehicles and infantry. I like the new unlock system aswell because previously all you were fighting for was shinier guns. Now you have to fight for useful things such as a stealth device, a scope stabilizer, and deployable turrets. There is much, much more and I would list it all but it is almost 15 items to be listed. I thought it was just plain better than battlefield two and I felt the vehicles had a good feel and were easier to control.
A key point that improved from Battlefield 2 was the loading times I used to have to wait almost ten minutes just for the darn thing to start verifying client data! But now the longest I have ever had to wait was four minutes. Also when starting the game it does not take forever to connect to the master server like in Battlefield 2.
Another thing I would like to hit on is i could not see any ingame advertising. That is what made most people not get this great game. I agree that adware is not good, but not getting a game because of a little billboard ingame with a picture on it. Most people get more adware than that browsing the internet!
On a higher note, I would like to review the new titan game mode. It involves in the beginning people on foot and in ground vehicles capturing missile silos to down the enemy titan's shields. Once they are down people scramble to the APCs or aircraft to fly to and infiltrate the enemy titan. Once inside you must destroy some control panels to gain access to the reactor. Ojnce inside you can detonate the reactor, destroying the titan and finishing the game.
I have one more statement to make bvefore concluding the review. Two things, really about unlocks, first sadly , anyone who has ranked almost up to the highest, can easily beat someone with a stndard kit. So the game can become a matter of who got the highest points in a week. But, the second thing ios the veteran's program allowing new players to start out with one unlock of their choice before even having to score. I chose C4 being very explosive in nature and it helped me rank up quickly.
I originally considered not getting this game because of how everything was an unlock, but got over myself and bought it. And I regret now ever considering not geting this wonderful game.
Overall, I believe this is the game of the year, so I ranked it an A+
